Access to research articles for local authority staff working in adult social care tends to be very limited because of the cost of subscriptions.
As one measure to overcome this, and to build a momentum around our research programme, WM ADASS is providing online access to the British Journal of Social Work for all practitioners and other staff working in adult social care in our region.
If you have an email address for a West Midlands local authority, you can access the journal online via a new Open Athens organisation called 'West Midlands Social Care'.
You will need to register. Go to openathens.nice.org.uk and search for 'West Midlands Social Care' under the organisation. You will need to apply to register with your local authority email address.
The Journal will be found in My Resources – search in ‘Oxford Academic'
