Encouraging apprenticeship at all levels is a positive way for councils to help grow the adult social care workforce.
In November 2021, WM ADASS was commissioned by Health Education England to develop an operating model for an Adult Social Care Apprenticeship Academy that could be supported through collaboration by local authorities and NHS organisations.
This video summarises the presentation of the WM-ADASS work at an NHS-organised webinar on 12 July 2023. Nearly 100 people from NHS and local authorities across England attended the event.
A copy of the report (cover image below) which describes the model in detail, is available in the resources section of this website. If you have comments or feedback or are interesed in taking the model forward to piloting, please contact the report author Kathryn Hudson via info@wm-adass.org.uk
