My experience in the world of social care over the last 30 plus years ranges from delivering and managing social care services in both the public and private sector. I have worked across the social care pathway from care management to delivery, design and commissioning of services, with a key focus upon adults with learning disabilities and autistic people, as well as unpaid carers. I am a practicing Independent Fostering Panel chair and active in local Partnership Boards.
As a parent of a neurodiverse young adult and a previous foster carer, I am able to view the sector through a number of lenses which help inform my practice.
A large feature of my work to date has been informed through co production, and it is something I feel passionately about and it is embedded into my practice.
