A key aspect of our programme to build a research culture and infrastructure for adult social care in the West Midlands is to engage with individual local authorities in the region.
During 2024 we held a number of events aimed at promoting research engagement and developing practitioner research capacity. Events highlighted:
- WM ADASS funded access to the British Journal of Social Work and how this can be used to support evidence informed practice
- NIHR research career pathways and career development awards and support practitioners for practitioners wanting to apply
- Promoting our research study Barriers to engagement in research in Adult Social Care
