WM ADASS Associate Lorraine Currie wins at LGC Awards

Lorraine Currie recieves her 'Outstanding Individual Contribution' award at the 2021 LGC Awards.

Lorraine Currie, formerly Acting Principal Social Worker and Professional Lead for Mental Capacity Act at Shropshire Council has won the 'Outstanding Individual Contribution' prize at the 2021 LGC Awards.

Lorraine. who is now an Associate with WM ADASS, where she is supporting councils with the transition from DoLS to LPS, collected her Award at a ceremony earlier this month.

The Award was given in recognition of the instrumental role she has played in protecting Shropshire’s communities since the start of the coronavirus pandemic.

Her expertise and truly collaborative approach made her a fundamental member of the adult social care team during the pandemic, when she provided and shaped far-reaching support to local people and empowered colleagues on the ground to enhance support during this challenging period.
