Helen Coombes is a qualified social worker and has worked in local government and the NHS for over 30 years.
With a keen interest in housing, safeguarding and criminal justice Helen has led the peer review process West Midlands ADASS over the last 5 years; overseeing the inclusion of practice reviews, establishing a network for adult social care political leads, experts by experience joining peer review teams and NHS senior executives trained to lead peer reviews.
Recently Helen has developed the 'Pause and Learn' concept to help councils reflect on the COVID-19 response and areas for future focus.
