Brendan Clifford

Brendan has over thirty-five years social services experience as a senior leader, manager, social worker and social care practitioner mainly in the statutory sector.

As a WM ADASS Associate, he is working on a project reviewing approaches and good practice in the region in our Health and Well Being Boards and their link to the developing Integrated Care Systems. He has published research with colleagues on this theme.

He has worked with the Black Country Integrated Care System, as an Associate with SCIE where he worked on various projects and reviews including strategic safeguarding and service review as well as wide-ranging learning and development provision, and as an Independent Chair for safeguarding with a national voluntary organisation as well as leading a number of Safeguarding Adults Reviews. He was amongst the initial Chairs and Vice-Chairs of the national Principal Social Workers Network.
