Case Study: BVSC Routes2wellbeing portal

A case study from Birmingham City Council – Joint working across the council and voluntary and community sector

Route2Wellbeing is an online directory of services, commissioned by the NHS Better Care Fund but open to anyone. It provides a range of information on services and activities aimed at promoting ‘wellbeing’ for adult citizens across Birmingham. It is a free resource which can be used by professionals and citizens to help them find information on a range of wellbeing services and activities. The website is designed to provide details that can support people to keep well and connected to others in their own community where social care or medical intervention is actually not what they need.

It is proven that keeping people active and connected to others in local communities is the key to building resilience and independence and helping citizens take control of their own health and wellbeing.

This site will be managed and updated by BVSC and supported by the NHS and Birmingham City Council.
